Short but Sweet! What a fantastic experience built on a company that knows what it wants and doesn't wait around to get it. From the initial HR call to meeting some of the team I felt at ease and could be myself. There was no 'scary' questions and a very down to earth element to the interview. If the role goes as well as the interview I'll be a happy employee. Looking forward to starting next week!

After submitting my resume and cover letter late one evening, I was contacted the next evening by HR to schedule an interview. All in all, the process took three weeks, with two phone conversations and one extended in-person interview. The first phone call was the typical screening call with HR, about 40 minutes chat casually discussing background and experience, while at the same time getting a picture of Glassdoor and the culture. The following week, I spoke with the person who would be my direct report. This was about an hour phone call, again discussing my background and experience. My sense was that she was the final yes/no to whether or not I would come in to meet the team my position would support. Luckily, the conversation went well and I was brought in the next week for a two hour interview with 2 of the 3 department heads. To my pleasant surprise, these ended up being walking interviews. Located off of Shoreline Hwy, Glassdoor is surrounded by trails and the staff is allowed to keep their dogs on campus. So while I was not expecting to hit my 10k steps during my interviews, it makes sense considering the location and culture. My advice, regardless of the position you're interviewing for, where comfortable shoes!
