I was applying for a position in Mill Valley, CA from Kansas City, MO, with the intent to relocate to the Bay Area.
The interview process was a bit intense, but no more so than any other company here in the Bay Area. I loved everybody who I spoke with. I haven't laughed so hard in an interview in a long time.
1) 30 Minute phone screen with HR
2) 30 Minute phone screen with the Hiring Manager
3) 2 Hour Skype Interview with 4 team members
4) 30 Minute Skype Interview with the CMO
5) On Day In Person Interview in Mill Valley (4 30 minute interviews with various team/level members, lunch interview, and a one hour presentation).
6) Discussion regarding a different position and a brief 30 minute 'interview' about that
7) Offer
The presentation is to present methodology to solve a business problem. The idea is to understand your communication skills, presentation skills, and problem solving methodology. 30 minutes for the presentation and 30 minutes for questions and answers. You present to a room full of people (roughly 20-30 people). The Hiring Manager was very open to answering any questions I had regarding the presentation and was quick to respond so that I could prepare accordingly.
While I was en route to the airport to fly back to Kansas City, Glassdoor called me to discuss their feedback regarding my presentation. They loved me, thought I'd be great for the position I applied to, but thought I would be even better for another open job requisition they had available.
We discussed it with HR and the Hiring Manager. Then I was invited to speak with another team member who was covering some of that role's job responsibilities. Then once I decided to put my name in the hat for that position, it was a simple final discussion and then an offer was made for their Senior Digital Marketing Manager position.
