J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris plus d'une semaine. J'ai passé un entretien chez Walmart (Ottawa, ON) en févr. 2011
Entretien
A very simple interview and hiring process. I had a group interview with five other people where they set up a few activities to get to know both the assistant managers and the store managers. I had the opportunity to meet almost every manager that worked in the store at that time. It was a very relaxed environment. They want to see if you can adapt to stressful situations and how you would react if certain things in the store were to occur. They were all extremely friendly. The only thing that I wasn't crazy about is the orientation after you are hired. In my store we had to stay in the back room for eight hours learning about various things again through various activities. There are also computer based learning modules (CBL's) that you must complete after you are hired. Other than that, it was one of the best group interviews I have attended thus far.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
All the questions you are asked are general customer service questions. Be prepared for questions like: "What would you do in a situation where you thought you saw someone shoplift, but do not know for sure?" or "What does customer service mean to you?"

Very easy and straight to the point. Question about previous experience related to the role, or situations where you’ve had to multitask or under slight stress etc… What kind of hours you would like to work all that good stuff.

Entretien
A brief interview asking both behavioral style and hypothetical questions. Overall I feel it was an average interview requiring minimal prep. Nothing too difficult and a fine interview overall. As long as you present yourself as personable you should be fine.
