      Entretien pour Process Engineer

Le processus a pris 2 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez PepsiCo (Topeka, KS) en sept. 2009

      Entretien

Before interviewing with Frito Lay, I heard stories of Frito Lay not reimbursing people for mileage, food, etc, on their trips to the plant. I was a bit apprehensive about the possibility of not receiving a reimbursement check (after driving 7 hours each way), but figured that Frito Lay was a responsible company and they'd be able to take care of their own finances. I guess I was wrong. Frito Lay came to my school to recruit. I was very interested in the company because I know people who work there and enjoy their jobs, so I submitted my resume. I heard back from them soon after, notifying me they'd like for me to visit the facilities in Topeka, KS and continue with the interviewing process... and no one told me what position I'd be interviewing for, so I waited. They were very uninformative. There was a group of 30 of us that flew or drove in for dinner for the first evening (paid for by the company, of course), where we were able to meet a few of the employees and managers. Dinner was very awkward. The next day, we had a facility tour and two long interviews. The interviews seemed fine; however, Frito Lay was supposed to give us our reimbursement checks for mileage, food, etc. Most of us are anticipating about $250-350 for reimbursement and we haven't received it yet. As full-time college students, it's really difficult to be able to make ends meet when we're expected to drive 7 hours one way, completely out of pocket, and drive the entire way back. Our interivews were TWO MONTHS ago. They had originally notified us that our reimbursement checks would arrive within 4 weeks, and maybe 6 weeks at the absolute latest. It's been 8 weeks, and this is outrageous. They apparently have had to REPROCESS the paperwork so we can get reimbursed. How is this company supposed to be able to thrive and be able to hire new talent if they can't even balance a checkbook?? I'm thankful I've accepted a job elsewhere and that I'm not working for a company that doesn't issue reimbursement checks.

simple competency questions. Usually in the informal way. Definitely ask questions at the end as it shows engagement and they like it a lot. However, research them and dont ask something that can be found online

Overall it was a very professional and standard interview with a friendly and personable interviewer. It was one-on-one with someone who worked in a very different area than what I was applying for (but not HR).
