I got contacted on LinkedIn by an internal recruiter, who quickly arranged a phone call. The call was interesting but the person on the phone could not disclose any information about the project they were hiring for, so it was very difficult to relate to the role. Since the phone interview was successful, I then received an email from HR with "URGENT" in the subject to ask me to select from a few slots for an on-site interview. I replied immediately and selected a slot. However, it took them 2 weeks to confirm the slot for the on-site interview, even after chasing them for a reply. In the confirmation email, I was asked to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance on that day. On the interview day, I made sure to be on time just like instructed. I was asked to wait in a meeting room until the interviewers would show up. Unfortunately, they were late, which means I had to wait for a whole half an hour for the interview to start. I cannot think of a better way to induce stress for a candidate. Surprisingly, one of the interviewers was working at J.P. Morgan since only a couple days ago. This person asked many questions about DevOps knowledge, which is not part of my role and for which I was unprepared. The other interviewer, who has worked for the company for a few years, asked much more interesting and relevant questions. When the interview ended, I was promised I would receive a feedback withing the next 2 working days. Since I did not hear from J.P. Morgan, I sent a follow up email and finally managed to get a reply 3 weeks after the interview - much longer than the promised 2 days. I hope this company shows more respect to their employees than the way they treat their candidates.
