First, there was an initial conversation with one of their Corporate Recruiters. From there, we set up a time to speak for a formal phone screen - roughly 25-30 minutes long. The phone screen went over - talking about Aerotek, the Recruiting position (role I applied for), the background pertaining to my resume and previous work experience, etc. and finally some behavioral based interview questions. The Corporate Recruiter was specific and she expected me to have done the research based on the information that was sent to me from her. It's a no brainer - they are sending you the details and it's your responsibility to make sure you research the role. The behavioral based questions were something I hadn't experienced before.
From there, she set me up for a Face to Face panel interview with 2 Senior people in the office. The F2F was about an hour long. I met with the Director and Account Manager in the office. They asked me similar questions related to my background, talked about Aerotek and their office in more detail and had a list of behavioral based questions as well. It was intimidating, but I dressed professionally, brought some copies of my resume with me and prepared myself with a list full of questions for them to answer.
I was then moved to a half day shadow. This was a time for me to get to see what the culture is like at Aerotek. I sat with several recruiters who showed me various parts of the office - their morning meeting, their seating (low rise cubical setting - definitely one where they interacted with one another), and a general tour of the office. From there, I had a wrap-up panel interview with two Account Managers. I was able to lay out what I learned from the day and asked questions about the things I observed. I used this time to close out what questions I had to assess if this was a fit.

1 initial phone screen, 1 behavioral phone interview, 1 in-office interview. Interviewers were nice and informed me I have great qualifications, but I still didn't get the job. The hiring decision is rather subjective. I guess it depends more on whether the interviewer likes you than whether you are qualified for the position.

Phone screen, in person interview with 2 managers, half day. First had a behavioral question phone screen with a recruiter for about 30 minutes, from there she set me up for a panel interview with 2 managers/directors. That interview was more in depth and asked a lot of hard behavioral type questions- they are really looking for someone with a lot of drive. After that there is a half day where you sit with several recruiters- bring a notebook and pen to take notes on and make sure you keep your phone away and you will be good for that one.

Since I am interviewing for a position in a state that I do not live in, my first two interviews were over Skype. The next two interviews will have to be in person.
