In Turkey, our colleagues participated in the Istanbul Half Marathon to support the Laughter Heals Association, which provides psychosocial support to children and families facing challenging illnesses or traumas. The association's activities include creating safe spaces where children can play and communicate with each other, as well as providing psychological support to caregivers. This initiative is part of our commitment to Building Healthier Communities, demonstrating how local actions can enhance resilience and prosperity. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks healthy tissues and organs, causing widespread inflammation and potential damage to joints, skin, kidneys, lungs, heart and brain. The complex and unpredictable disease causes various symptoms, but is commonly identified by a distinct “butterfly” rash across the cheeks. At Viatris, we’re proud to raise awareness and support the lupus patient community. Diagnosed in 2011, Verkeya had just experienced a miscarriage when her doctor suggested that she take a test because her symptoms. Viatris was proud to sponsor Taste of the Draft in our home area of Pittsburgh. This impactful event, held in conjunction with the NFL Draft 2026, helped raise funds for GENYOUth’s mission to help schoolchildren thrive by living well-nourished and physically active lives. GENYOUth has supported more than 77,000 schools across the U.S., equipping them with resources to ensure millions of children have equitable access to nutrition and physical activity. Supporting initiatives like GENYOUth is one of the many ways we can help empower people in our communities and worldwide to live healthier at every stage of life.
A collective adventure in the service of inclusion. In March 2025, we welcomed Awaï to our Lyon premises: the first puppy – future guide dog – sponsored by Viatris En France alongside the Association de Chiens Guides d'Aveugles de Lyon et du Centre-Est. Since then, he has been working with a company employee who accompanies him in his socialization phase in order to familiarize himself with the world around him. Around 12 months, he begins to learn the basics of guiding with his educator. A patient and progressive work, the first step towards his future mission with a visually impaired person. 🦮 Beyond its history, it is the expression of a collective commitment: that of contributing, with our partners and employees, to a more inclusive and accessible society. Thank you to the Association and to all those who accompany this adventure. We will continue to monitor Awaï's progress in the coming months. 🐾
Colleagues in the Netherlands once again devoted their efforts to children who could use a little extra magic during the holiday season. Through the Dutch Food Bank, we received dozens of wish lists. As part of our hashtag#BuildingHealthierCommunities program, colleagues started shopping for the gifts. The presents were carefully prepared to be handed over to the Dutch Food Bank, and more than 100 gifts found their way to the children! We look back with warmth on this wonderful Gift4You initiative, and on all the other moments when we were able to make a meaningful contribution to our community.
A routine eye exam can be a turning point. It can lead to a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a simple correction that changes how someone works, learns, drives, and lives. That’s why we are sponsoring Prevent Blindness’ “It Started with an Eye Exam” campaign, which encourages people to share real stories and offers practical guidance on how to prepare for an eye exam. After Awaï, we support the training of a second guide puppy alongside the Association de Chiens Guides d'Aveugles de Lyon et du Centre-Est. 🦮 At Viatris, our commitments come to life through useful and supportive actions. Several months ago, we introduced you to Awaï, a first puppy accompanied by a collaborator to become a guide dog for the blind. Today, we continue this adventure with Aïko, who is starting two years of training with a volunteer host family. 👉 Two different paths, the same ambition: to contribute to the autonomy and inclusion of visually impaired people. A new stage in this great collective adventure, carried by actions that make sense. Welcome Aïko. 🐾
