Sutter Health’s $1 billion East Bay expansion—anchored by the new 12-acre Sutter Emeryville Yards—advances the medical group’s ongoing growth in the region. The site will include a state-of-the-art ambulatory care campus and a 200-bed hospital, with outpatient services slated to open in 2028 and the hospital expected to welcome patients in 2032. Nearly 200 Sutter East Bay Medical Group clinicians are anticipated to staff the new facility.

Thanks to the generous support of Sutter Health and the Mills-Peninsula Hospital Foundation, this tuition-free program offers students rigorous classroom instruction in anatomy, physiology, math, physics, and radiographic science. In addition, students receive early and continuous hands-on clinical training. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to take the national board exam administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and, upon passing, are licensed to practice in California.
