They pulled the bait and switch method with me during the interview process. The recruiter and I aligned on salary in the initial stages of the interview process. At the end, when the recruiter called me with an offer I was offered significantly less than what we agreed on. It felt like such a slap in the face for so many reasons. If a number is aligned on then you don’t try to switch in the offer stage!! That is extremely unprofessional and only creates distrust. Companies don’t realize things like this is what makes employees unhappy and just forces us to look for our next opportunity that will pay us what we’re worth.
