Submitted application online on a Wedn afternoon, was called around noon the next day to speak to one of the store managers. Asked why I wanted to work there, and set up and interview @ 11 on the following Monday. Wore professional clothing, done up hair & make-up, arrived 10 minutes early with a cover letter & printed copy of my resume in a plain folder. Waited around, just browsing until one of the managers came to get me & bring me to the back. She was very sweet & approachable, and has a fantastic work ethic. She pulled out two chairs, and asked me some questions (below). Store manager was in & out, but it was quiet & not busy in the back, she eventually met me & asked me "Why Ulta?". They asked if I had any questions, I mentioned I would need a week off in two months & they said that would be fine. Interview took around 10-15 minutes. Was called around 9:30 the next night (Tues) to confirm I got the position & made an appointment to come in that Thurs to give identification & read the company policies (dress code, attendance). Got scheduled for my first shift (truck delivery mostly), which was the next day (Fri) from 7:30-11:30. Worked that & another early morning shift on Sun. Had the first part of orientation on Tues for an hour. The two other recent hires were also there for orientation, one had done an early morning shift on a day other than mine & the other girl had yet to be scheduled.
