      Entretien

Group interview. We introduced the person next to us on the table, and did a group activity to discuss how to interact with a client. Then we did one on one roleplay with a manager with a randomly selected scenario (e.g. customer wants to buy a gift for her daughter's 30th)

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

If a customer came in wanting a particular item but it was not in stock and they waited 30 minutes, how would you interact with them?

      Entretien

Initially I came across the position available online and applied through the Tiffany website. There is a very long online test to be done (took me over an hour I think, maybe more). It's not difficult just time consuming... the questions put you in a situation in the store and you have to decide which option is the best way for you to react. Its mostly common sense. Then theirs another section where you rate yourself. Shortly after was called in for an interview. This was a group interview and although I have been to MANY group interviews this is the first one that made us all stand up and complete a sales pitch. You are given a fictional profile and told to select a piece of merchandise you would sell to that person and why... It was kind of awkward but I'm sure we all felt the same way so i guess it was okay. HR was wonderful. They were kind and respectful. Often at group interviews only HR is present, store managers and your direct superiors don't even bother to come which i seriously dislike.. their the ones that know your job.. not the HR manager! Here the store managers and key people were present. They participated in introducing themselves, and overall everyone there from the company made the experience much nicer than it could have been. There was also an activity where we were broken up into teams, and asked to discuss and decide upon what makes excellent customer service. Managers were sitting with us observing and taking notes. We put our ideas onto a poster sized paper and each team presented their ideas to the rest of the group. Its really about how you interact with others and how you carry yourself. There was no one-on-one interview, possibly because this was simply for a Christmas casual position. Overall the interview was a little over three hours, and I was called about 2 weeks later and offered the position.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Giving a sales pitch in-front of a room full of other candidates, human resources managers and store managers was a-bit intimidating.
