J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. J'ai passé un entretien chez RBC (Toronto, ON) en sept. 2025
Entretien
The interview process consisted three long interviews spanning over a month and a half.
All rounds went great and in the final round itself the panel were visibly excited for me to join.
Those rounds of interviews were really tough.
They asked a lot and they had five people in the interview.
I even had to go to the office for that final round.
And then they went completely silent for two weeks.
No update whatsoever.
After that wait time, they decided that they don't have the budget for it.
WHAT!!!
Isn't budget is something you check and make sure you have enough of it before you post the job on LinkedIn or other platforms?
What kind of decision making is this?
In a tough market like this, companies are now feeding false hope for over a month to candidates.
I thought RBC was great organization but it's not the case.

What is the reason for the shadow DOM in front-end frameworks like React?
The Hiring manager was late by 15 mins for a 30 mins call.
Overall the call went well but they were looking for someone who could do everything from GUI to API to database testing.
