      Candidature

J'ai postulé via une agence de recrutement. Le processus a pris 5 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez PwC (Tampa, FL) en oct. 2014

      Entretien

This was a position at the Tampa GADM office, not to be confused with the office on Boyscout (client-based). They encompass two separate types of "Accounting" work. I was called by a Ranstad recruiter who found my resume online during the first week of October. He said that he like my resume and seem like I would be a good fit. After a brief phone call, he sent over an email describing what the position was. The main stipulation PwC had was having a minimum 3.0 overall/ or Accounting GPA. I sent the required information regarding, GPA, completion of degree and birth date. The next day I was sent an email with an attached PwC Pre-Interview Questionnaire that was more so concerned about your work availability. The recruiter told me that it was important to be really flexible with availability. The recruiter sent me an email that Friday and wanted me to come in that following Monday promptly at 9:15am. There was at least 30+ plus other candidates, some coming from different parts of the US, like New York, Chicago, Boston and some came from China, the UK and Africa. They gave you name badges upon arrival, you were then escorted to a large room with the 30+ candidates where you were given a presentation by one of the directors from South Africa and by the Human Capital Associates (just a fancy name for HR). The presentation consisted of an overview of PwC and the specifics of working at SDC Tampa. That lasted about 30 mins give or take a few minutes. You were then called by name and matched with the person who would be interviewing you. There were two rounds of interviews. Each round of interviews were about 15-20 minutes long. They mainly consisted of getting to know you. Each interviewer was different, and had their own style of questions to ask but none were too difficult. In fact, we ran out of time. We were then sent back to the main conference room and grouped up with other candidates and current employees in a "buddy group". There the current employees told us more about the position and we got to ask them questions. I called my recruiter and told him about the interview and he said he would have an answer in 2 days because PwC is pretty quick about responding to who they want to bring on. As mentioned, I was made an offer contingent upon my independence compliance. This was the longest part. My compliance was completed by that Wednesday before the start date on Nov. 10.
