Entretien
Fairly common consulting interview process: HR/fit-check, followed by 2 'rounds' of case studies (2 cases per round), partner interview.
People were friendly, accommodating and case experience changed with interviewer. General vibe I gather was they were looking for the 'next level' of depth

I'm met with some pretty shockingly bad companies in my time, but I think PIP would have to take the cake.
Where do I start...
Pretty standard consulting interview process. HR screening followed by range of case study interviews. Alarm bells started to go when I had initial screening interview with the HR rep. He did come across as very pompous and it became clear that they thought of themselves as an MBB (when they're anything but).
Regarding the case interviews themselves, one in particular stood out for all the wrong reasons. Maybe I got him on a bad day, he didn't want to be there or he just wasn't trained to conduct an interview - but one of the managers I conducted the case with came off as very arrogant, unprofessional, rude and aggressive. In fact I came very close to leaving the interview. Additionally the interview was conducted virtually whilst he was working from home, where his partner (whom was also working from home) continued to interrupt the interview and look over his shoulder at to what he was doing. Why anyone from HR would deem it appropriate to have him interview potential candidates is beyond me? What's worse, having a look online it appears this person has since been promoted to a practice lead, which talks a lot to the type of people that they attract and succeeds at the firm.
Additionally, when I did a bit of my own research into the firm and spoke to my network I didn't hear positive things about the organisational culture. If you're wondering why there are so many glowing reviews on Glassdoor - this is apparently because it is part of their KPI's.
There's better and higher paying consultancies out there - steer clear and give PIP a wide berth.

Question 1
Despite what they said that they work on a broad range of cases, all the case studies seemed to be heavily focused around mining and logistics. Best resource I found was reading through their online blog of the different projects they've worked on. There were no behavioural questions nor did anyone ask me about my background it was just pure case studies.
