J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Oracle (Burlington, MA) en juil. 2009

      Entretien

Your website does not allow a person to go back past 2009, so I will correct that to 2006, since nothing has really charged in the interview process at Oracle. I had tracked down the name of an internal recruiter and it took over 2 years to get in. In fact, the same recruiter had called me back after having landed a role with another software company and after being there only a little over a year. So, although I checked phone interview, that was only with an HR recruiter, the next step; was to come in and meet a Regional Manager for a discussion. The questions focused on how I prepared for the interview and what I new about Oracle and my general history. Lasted only about 45 minutes then I was called back in two days by the recruiter, sent a 10 page presentation template and asked to fill it out. The presentation if one is familiar with the industry is not bad, two or three business problems, how you would solve them. However, when I was scheduled to come in and do the presentation there was a 5 person panel which included the same Field RM who interviwed me, 2 people from what I call Pre-Sales (At Oracle they are called "SC's" Sales Consultants, there was GVP and a VP there as well. The only surprise, which I considered a good one was the VP who I came to know well after accepting the offer was what he sked: "How do you translate the benefits you have put together so well, which do solve the customer's problem," into a dollar value that might mean something to the customer. My reply was simply: Benefits are translated to dollars and part of an overall business case, clients do not buy benefits, even if on the surface they solve a solution, there must be hard ROI. I then asked if they would like me to construct a mock business case. They say, no, thank you, I noticed the RM smile a bit and the next day I received a call with an offer.

Multiple round very professional. I found the team cooperative and the recruiters were direct and easy to work with. The role offered was the wrong levelling for me. Went forward to different role.

The interview process was a bit more than expected but overall, I can understand as the company is global and the right candidate is important when the organization has a global footprint.

      Entretien

First interview with recruiter was more informational. The second was with the sales management team and that was a little more formal. Expect "name a time when" questions. They focus a lot on quota and negotiation skills.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Name a time when you had to negotiate something. What was your biggest accomplishment? How would your team describe you? What do you do to cope with high stress? Did you reach your quota in your last position?
