The interview process was unlike any I have experienced previously and was broken into four parts. The first part was a chat with Michael from Instant Impact to gain some information about myself and how I would fit in with the position I had applied for.
Second part was a maths and English assessment followed by a Discovery Day with various staff from Octopus. This session was around 3 hours although it didn't seem that long. The Discovery Day consisted of and introduction and ice breaker, we were then split into groups to discuss how we would deal with various scenarios and then a presentation, the idea of this is to see how we worked as a team.
After the team session there was a one on one interview with a team leader then we were given the opportunity to ask anything we wanted to staff already working for the company. The discovery day was friendly and gave a real insight into how Octopus operate and what it is like to work for them.
The last stage was a chat with an operations manager from Octopus to gain to more information about how I would fit within the company.
Whilst the process may appear to be long winded, it is actually well thought out and structured and is easily the best interview I have experienced.
