Submitted an application and heard from the recruiter about 1 month later that they were interested in a phone call. Scheduled a call and had a brief chat with the recruiter who was friendly and asked me background information on my experience. They admitted that they were not a product recruiter so they did not try to ask questions that they may not fully understand the answer to. They were transparent about the pay which was not within my range and so we decided to not proceed with the interview cycle.
