I applied on-line to the job that i found at the companie's website. After two weeks, got a phone call from the manager who was trying to fill the position in his group. We talked mostly about my area of research at grad school (with was very similar to my manager's area of research), some of my published papers, and then he briefly described their are of research and the specific duties of the position. After two weeks, got an email from HR inviting me for an oral interview. It took places couple of weeks after the email. It consisted of several interviews with HR, managers and directors, and an oral presentation for the R&D department. HR questions were behavioral and analytical, the managers and director's questions were more about science.
