      Entretien

First I had to submit my CV and cover letter. Then I had to take the online tests, and as I was successful I got a phone interview. They gave me 4 days to prepare, the questions were strength/competency based, such as a time I had been innovative, or a time i had received negative feedback. I was also asked to give SWOT analysis of a loreal product, to discuss why I wanted to work for the company, and why I had chosen the specific role. All very straightforward, only took 20 minutes. I then had to wait two weeks to find out I had an assessment centre, I got told 4 days before, and the day before got given a case study to prepare a presentation for. On the day everyone was very friendly, we got more time to prepare for the presentation, we had to retake the numerical test, and then we had a group exercise based on charities loreal works with. We were taken for lunch with some people on placement, and after lunch, if we had been successful throughout the first three exercises we had a one on one interview. The interview was about an hour, very relaxed and friendly. I am now waiting to hear back whether I have gotten an offer or not, as it takes 2-3 weeks.

I was invited to an exploratory interview after my team and I competed in Brandstorm. Although our team didn't place, we were invited to submit our resumes after the competition. A couple of weeks afterward, I was asked to meet with the recruiter. Then, an online Digital Marketing Assessment Test. A month after that, I met with a Brand Manager and received a summer internship offer. The first exploratory interview was warm and welcoming. Typical behavioral questions, as well as a few "brain-teasers/case-styled" questions at the end. Nothing too difficult, the recruiter was more interested in assessing my ability to quickly think and confidently articulate my thoughts rather than the answer themselves. Interview with the brand manager was slightly more difficult. I was asked how I would market certain products, my favorite brands, as well as the types of working environments I thrived in, in the past. Honesty, enthusiasm, and confidence are really all I can advise for future applicants. Based on my experience and that of others, most interviews seems to be dynamic and a little hard to predict. Just be confident, review basic marketing principles, and strive to understand the company's various brands, culture, and future strategies. Don't forget the STAR method. Don't forget to be yourself!

I applied online for the position through my university. I found that the online application was very standard and pretty straightforward, no curveballs here. Then I received an email for a phone interview and it was an HR rep, very basic filter questions.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

They asked me basic questions: biggest strengths, biggest weaknesses, tell me about a difficult situation in the work place and how you dealt with it.
