J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Human Rights Watch
Entretien
Took about two months after I initially applied (emailed my resume, cover letter, etc.) for them to contact me. Set up an online video interview with 6 questions (why I want to work with HRW, specific questions about the job). Got an email about 4 days later saying I passed the video interview and wanted to set up an hour and 15 minute written exam with me. I had to write a letter to a senior official, write an email in French, and proofread a HRW report and then format it. Never heard back after that, even after two follow up emails. Personally, I felt kind of weird about the organization as a whole after that experience. I understand that it's a big organization and everyone is probably really busy, but when someone takes the time to interview with you and go through an hour and 15 minute written test, I feel like the least you could do is respond back to their email and tell them they didn't get the job? Kind of turned me off to HRW to be honest.

Question 1
Wasn't expecting a French question during the video interview, so I kind of stumbled around with that one.

The interviewers were nice, the lack of communication was extremely frustrating. I had a basic phone interview to tell me about the position then moved to the final panel interview the week after. They gave me a lot of false hope by saying that I "stood out the most of all candidates" and am "so well spoken and passionate" and how the "organization would love to have me" and am "a great fit for us" and how they are lucky to have found me. The job was set to start 2 weeks after, and only after a month of no contact did I receive a rejection letter. They even told me they will keep me in mind for future roles and I emailed them twice for follow ups and questions and did not get any response back either. I interviewed for a similar role a few months after and was once again not alerted for a month regarding my status.

I submitted my application and was then invited for a recorded interview which okay. It was the normal interview questions you'd expect in any job interview. They then sent a written assignment a week later. The assignment was to be done in 4 hours then submitted. After the assignment I proceeded to next stage which was a panel interview. The interviewers seemed lovely. They said they'd get back in a week but they never did. I wrote an email 3 weeks later to ask and they never responded. For an organization that claims to promote human dignity, their behavior in terms of communication has been terrible to say the least.

Question 1
Why would you want to work for HRW? What is your experience in relation to the role? What is your experience in relation to some specific tasks in the job description?
There was a phone recorded interview followed by an hour exam covering responsibilities of the position that was then submitted online. The communication was very clear but there was no in-person or virtual experiences so it was very independent from the interviewer/exam reader.
