J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez HubSpot (Singapour) en déc. 2019

      Entretien

I received an email on 11 Dec requesting for my availability for a phone interview, and I instantly updated my availability via the link provided. But I did not hear back from the HR team until I send them a reminder. Apparently, the recruiter in-charge is not available on the dates I had provided. Anyway, after much co-ordination, we finally managed to fix a time slot for this Fri (27 Dec). Then, I received an email from the Recruiter on Christmas Eve requesting to speak on 26 Dec, 10am instead. However, due to work contingencies, I am not able to attend the interview at 10am. Hence, I dropped the Recruiter an email the night before indicating my reason for not being able to attend the phone interview at 10am, and requesting to speak at the scheduled timing instead. I did not hear from her this morning at 10am, so I thought ‘Great! She read my email!’, then her call came at 12pm instead. And apparently she did not see my email requesting to speak at the scheduled timing tomorrow! Which means, the Recruiter is 2 hours late for the interview? Anyway, I had to request to shift the interview again as I really couldn’t speak (I was with my manager!). The Recruiter also sounded really cold and unfriendly via phone and when I asked her why can’t we speak tomorrow instead, she just replied :”Can’t!’, with no explanations given. Initially, I was really excited to hear from Hubspot and I can’t wait to join the big family, but in the end, I had to cancel the interview due to the bad candidate’s experience. The whole process couldn’t be more frustrating.

I'm not going to lie, this one is so hard to read because it's reflecting of how we recruit for our own team. It sounds like we completely missed the mark in respecting your time and for that I'm deeply sorry. I would love the opportunity to try to make this right, so if you're open to re-engaging with us after the holidays, please email me directly at beckym at hubspot dot com and I'd love to personally have a conversation with you. Thank you for taking the time to write a review - this is a great learning opportunity for our team that even during the holidays when things can get busy, the details and follow-through matter. Best, Becky
