Our global compensation team benchmarks all of our roles regularly (including support) with market data to ensure it's fair and competitive, and there are a number of variables that factor into our compensation levels, including our benefits, the equity we offer upon joining, and the growth employees experience in salary over time. I'm sorry you've had experiences with companies where front-line support reps feel like second class citizens, because at HubSpot, that couldn't be further from reality. Not only does the entire company rally around our support team to ensure they're set up for success, but we truly view support as a fantastic starting point in the company - in fact, more than a third of our support team experienced some form of career growth last year, be it a promotion within Support or one into Product, Marketing, Sales, or another area of the business (including our own People Operations team!).
