I applied through an employee referral. I was phone screened by David H. He was very professional and had great questions. He was thorough and told me my resume would be passed along to his manager, Becky.
I had a 2nd phone screen with Becky. She was a couple minutes late for the call which she was apologetic for. I didn't make it to next round unfortunately but I could tell based on my gut feeling after my conversation with Becky. David asked structured questions, the 2nd call was informal - either way I'm glad I got the opportunity to speak with them and wish them well with their search. I have an extensive recruiting background, excellent communication skills and a strong educational background so I must say I was surprised. David was great with follow up and made sure to let me know I was not selected.
Thanks for sharing your feedback with us and for interviewing with HubSpot. While I'm sorry it didn't work out, I'm grateful you took the time to share your feedback with us, and hope you'll stay in touch, particularly given your deep bench of experience in this space. Sincerely, Katie

Friendly, typical, basic questions. Tell me about yourself, a difficult role to fill, working with HMs, how will you add to the team. Interview process, 4 more after recruiter screen.

Started process with a phone screening lasting about 30/35 minutes with a recruiter.
Next step was interview with one of the hiring managers.
They were 15 minutes late, spent the majority of the interview reading something on another screen, did not seem to be listening to me as I had to clarify aspects of my previous job on more than one occasion as they kept claiming incorrect things about my job.
They also mentioned they had “talked to a a lot of people who worked in my company” and again stated incorrect things about my experience they had just assumed for some reason.
At the end they told me they would read over the answers I gave that were recorded by the AI note taker and make her decision.
Didn’t seem to be listening and seemed to have just had an idea in her head based on talking to someone else in a different department in my old job and wasn’t bothered to consider I might be doing something different.
I had 3 to 4 steps in my process:
Recruiter interview
3 managers interviews
Debriefing session and feedback
Resources were sent by the recruiter
I was smooth but a little bit long (2 months)
