In brief the interview process was thorough and insightful. I learnt a lot throughout the process and by the end of the four weeks I felt like I had a really good understanding of the role, what HubSpot were looking for and whether we were a good match.
My advice for applicants is to spend a substantial amount of time preparing and researching about HubSpot, their Culture Code, their values and their products. I was really impressed by every employee I met - it was clear everyone was on the same page and their questioning was very much aligned.
My recruiter Emily was really warm, genuine and helpful - she guided me through the whole process and gave me feedback along the way. I had two phone screenings, one-on-one interviews with five HubSpotters, attended a team meeting and completed a task.
I was amazed at how much time and energy HubSpot poured into their recruitment, interview and selection process. I got to meet some really inspiring people along the way and I'm excited to get started!
The hiring manager had no clue what I was talking about and was incredibly cold and seemed entirely disinterested in my answers. I was told I would move forward in the process and suddenly got a form rejection email with no reasoning as to why.
Recruiter call. Zoom interview. Basic experience and behavioral questions talking about work history and projects and scope. Asked about oghanization size and project technical specs for different work history and went through previous roles.
