Went for a 1 hour trial shift midweek and then was offered the job after a short interview with the manager in which we mainly discussed hours, pay, availability, priorities etc. The trial shift itself was as you would expect for a role at this level and establishment. The main things to learn was the tills system and the bread cutting machine.

How many hours and on which days would you like to work?
I applied online but ended up in an on-the-spot interview one afternoon when I went by the store. The interview was casual, and the process was quick and transparent. I felt comfortable asking questions about the work culture, and the expectations were clearly communicated to me. My supervisor set up a trial shift to ensure I was a good fit before hiring me.

Very relaxed, it was in person and just general questions. It only took about 10-15 mins and the interview was conducted in the early morning. Interviewer was friendly and very relaxed and was told immediately that I had the job
