I applied online but ended up in an on-the-spot interview one afternoon when I went by the store. The interview was casual, and the process was quick and transparent. I felt comfortable asking questions about the work culture, and the expectations were clearly communicated to me. My supervisor set up a trial shift to ensure I was a good fit before hiring me.

Went for a 1 hour trial shift midweek and then was offered the job after a short interview with the manager in which we mainly discussed hours, pay, availability, priorities etc. The trial shift itself was as you would expect for a role at this level and establishment. The main things to learn was the tills system and the bread cutting machine.
