I took the time to do all the pre-interview work (video recording and a couple tests) with effort and excitement. I was very excited about the opportunity of joining the team and the potential growth with Fidelity. I was very interested in investing. When I met my Interviewer, however, a veteran for their recruiting. You could tell she hated her job and she made me feel awful. She told me my years of international corporate experience that was above this pay grade was worthless. I had made a decision to join Fidelity to change careers, I was in the middle of a tough time trying to find jobs. She was condescending, rude even. I was prepared, ready with questions and answers, and my experience required detail which she did not appreciate. You must understand how frustrating and jarring this was. I had a lot of experience that was applicable and I wanted to demonstrate it. Entirely demolished my confidence in the company, the recruiter, and this position. She presented her self and acted like this company was the worst thing ever. Like it was the end of her career. Not something you want to be seeing during an interview. Fidelity, if you are reading this, maybe its time to review your staffs effectiveness...
