J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 6 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Etsy en mai 2023
Entretien
Expectations clearly set for role and interview process. Clear layout of the expectations for the role and the org structure. 1st round with recruiter that guides you through the process. Second round with hiring manager, third round case study, fourth round "virtual onsight" interview with product people and engineers. Got to the last round

I had a great initial interview with a recruiter for a Senior PM role. She told me my experience was a strong fit and said multiple times that she wanted to move me forward to speak with the hiring manager that week or the next. Toward the end of our conversation, I shared that I was pregnant and due in a few months. She assured me it wasn’t an issue and said I should just continue with the interview process, saying we could figure out logistics later as needed.
After that, I didn’t hear anything for weeks. I assumed the delay might be due to a holiday weekend, but after I followed up about a month later, I was told they had decided to move forward with other candidates.
The lack of follow-through and transparency was deeply disappointing — especially after such a positive conversation and explicitly stated interest in moving me forward. Given the timing, I can’t help but feel that my pregnancy may have influenced their decision to stop the process. It felt, frankly, discriminatory.

Phone screen and hiring manager screen were normal. Virtual onsite was messy. First they took a very long time to schedule. Almost a month since sending the invite.
Awkward process to talk to the same people again at the virtual onsite stage. If it was an informal check-in that would be great, but they asked real questions so it was weird. It would have been better to schedule times with different people who would could be potential coworkers. No heads up there would be a case study.
Engineers and peer PMs were friendly. But management was cold, unfriendly, neutral, and low energy. They really lacked enthusiasm. Did not leave a good impression that they treasured or valued their workers. More like a high pressure, pushy environment. No thank you.
