Applied for position of Audio Programmer in UK. The interview process was quite straightforward, with an initial skype interview, programming test, technical interview and final face-to-face Interview.
Did not get the job because management decided to revamp the open positions and therefore this position was removed...or could it be because they decided it's not worth applying for a sponsor licence for me? Who knows..I almost got the job since HR mentioned a provisional offer is underway.
The Initial interview was with an audio engineer and audio designer. The questions ranged from the usual ones such as "why do you want to work for us" to specific questions such as "what do you think are the technical challenges faced in audio engineering today?".
The programming test was a straight-forward one - create a game. The sprites and graphics are handled by the class provided with the test, you just need to write c++ code for the game logic to work properly and efficiently.
I also had another technical interview with a senior programmer - This one was really technical, covering aspects of c++, data structures, threads, etc.
The final face-to-face interview was also good - I had the chance to see their office and building. I was interviewed by an audio engineer and also by the game director.
