I've applied to EA Hyderabad multiple times over the past few years for the Experience Designer role. After countless rejections without response, I finally got a chance—thanks to an internal referral. I went through the interview process, gave it everything, and impressed all three interviewers with deep knowledge in web product design, UX thinking, and even my passion for EA games.
Despite a strong performance and clear alignment with the role, I was once again rejected—without real explanation. It’s frustrating to see that skill, passion, and preparation take a backseat to internal preferences and referrals.
To the hiring team:
Overlooking hungry, skilled designers who genuinely care about the craft will cost you in the long run. I may not have been your pick, but I will prove myself—at a company that sees potential, not politics. And when I reach that next level, your competitor will be glad to have me.
Advice to Management:
Sometimes passion, persistence, and growth matter just as much as the perfect resume fit. Don’t miss out on people who are ready to give everything to grow with you.
Advice to candidates:
Unless you're referred or known internally, expect your application to get buried. Persistence matters, but don’t wait forever for validation.
