Interview Process:
I attended a virtual interview at EY’s Hyderabad office with over 14 years of Java Full Stack experience. The panel clearly did not review my resume and assumed I was a candidate with 7 years of experience in Python. Despite this, I performed exceptionally—answered all technical questions, wrote programs with clear logic, and explained them well. After a long wait post-interview, I was informed the process was over, followed by a rejection email.
What went wrong:
Panel didn’t know my actual profile
Misidentified my skills and experience
Wasted valuable time with no accountability or clarification
Overall Impression:
I’ve never faced such a careless and disorganized interview process in my entire career. It reflects poorly on EY's hiring standards. I’ve decided not to pursue any opportunities with EY going forward and would advise experienced professionals to be cautious.
Advice to Management:
Please ensure interviewers are informed about the candidate profiles in advance. Respect the time and effort of experienced professionals.
