I just completed the Datadog interview process for the SDR role in Boston, MA. The process went fairly smoothly and everyone I spoke with on the Datadog team was upbeat and happy to talk to a prospective hire. You start with a phone screening with a recruiter where they ask you what you know about being an SDR, why you want to work for Datadog, etc. The next step is an interview with the hiring manager. It was a really great conversation and the hiring manager wanted me to feel as comfortable as possible and was really kind. Following this you receive an email task to complete before your two hour panel interview. They help you as much as you need with the email task and are happy to do so. The panel interview was not as scary as it may seem; everyone on the panel was upper level management in the SDR department and you could tell they truly loved working for Datadog. Overall, I really enjoyed this experience and if you have a chance to interview for Datadog, DO IT! Im looking forward to finding out if I got the position!

Initial screening interview lasted a little longer than 20 mins, and took place over Zoom. Recruiter asked me about the experience on my resume, when I'd be available to start, and my expectations for compensation.

Good over all. Five stage interview process ranging in difficulty and assessing different criteria for the job based on previous experiences. Good over all. I think it’s goods but don’t have light thoughts

I had a 30 minute HR interview for a SDR role in Boston. I appreciated that Datadog provided discussion points for the call beforehand. Despite being prepared and having an overall productive conversation, I found the NYC recruiter to be beyond rude. When I inquired about company meetings (which wasn't on my list of questions to ask but while I was scrolling to my pre-prepared questions in my word doc, I nervously just asked about company/team meetings) she expressed her judgement to my question with 5+ seconds of obnoxious, very loud, intentional "coughing" that was unmistakably judgement and jumping to conclusions. I felt that the conversation had gone well up until this point. Recruiters have the power to make candidates feel uplifted or torn down during interviews - and this recruiter certainly succeeded in doing the latter. It's unnecessary and unfortunately a terrible look both for her personally and Datadog.
