J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez CrowdStrike (Sunnyvale, CA) en avr. 2023
Entretien
Initial 45 minute interview that covers resume probing and questions about career path/fit. Then four one hour interviews covering the following: Experience with a technical challenge on a previous project and how you overcame it, Interpersonal / Culture fit, Coding interview, Closing interview with hiring manager. Found the recruiter to be slow to answering messages and took over a week post finishing to get a response back on my status and if there was any followup needed. I was told I would receive a feedback email for my rejection with more details which I never received - cut my losses on wasted time at that point and didn't bother following up. Interviewer was late and seemed unprepared - asked questions which were easily answered on my resume and seemed to have not even looked at it. They contradicted information given by the recruiter previously, so the communication internally seems incredibly poor. Role was not as initially described - instead of having a new SDET they were looking for someone to completely set up a new testing system, but per the recruiter they were not willing to make the role senior and the base pay was not appropriate for the scope of the role. They lock additional pay up in equity which is likely the only reason they have good retention, at least in this business group.

Question 1
Very dependent on the exact role and your background and experience.
J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez CrowdStrike en avr. 2025
Entretien
I interviewed for a Front-End SDET position at CrowdStrike. The process began well—I had a thoughtful conversation with a technical leader who expressed interest in moving forward. A few days later, I was invited to complete a take-home assessment with specific instructions.
I submitted the project promptly, but shortly after, I was informed that the role had already been filled. The timing was confusing, as I had just completed the requested work. Additionally, I received an auto-generated rejection email prior to being contacted for the next step, suggesting a lack of coordination between recruiting, technical leadership, and internal systems.
Everyone I interacted with was polite and professional, but the experience highlighted breakdowns in communication and candidate management. I would advise future applicants to be aware that hiring decisions may happen abruptly—even after signs of strong interest

Initial call from the recruiter - general resume related questions. 2nd round - Chat with principal s/w engineer. 2nd Round was the most horrible round. The engineer kept yawing all the time as if she wasn't interested in interviewing at all. Didn't show even a little bit of interest while I was coding (was on her phone all the time). They shouldn't waste our time if they are not interested in interviewing a candidate. As usual the recruiter ghosts you when you followup for feedback.
