The HR part of the interview was fine, but the technical round… oh boy. It felt like a checklist straight out of some 'Java interview questions' website. The interviewer, a lady, was obsessed with irrelevant trivia—Java fundamentals, Hibernate, Spring Boot, HashMap—but made zero effort to connect any of it to the actual project needs. It was generic and dull, the kind of uninspired process you'd expect from a stereotypical Eastern Europe/Indian-style interview: robotic, outdated, and completely detached from real-world engineering challenges.
To make matters worse, her English was so broken that half the questions were incomprehensible. I genuinely couldn’t tell what she was asking at times, which made an already frustrating experience even more painful. Honestly, it felt less like an interview and more like a poorly designed quiz that completely missed the mark.
