Starts off with one phone interview, then they gauge whether or not to send you to the Assessment Center Day. Standard behavioral phone screening. Assessment Center Day- you get a budget to book your plane and flights, unfortunately you have to front this money yourself and your reimbursement may take months as there is no confirmation on the status of your reimbursement. At the assessment center day, you start off with a little mingling, they try to have current analysts tell you how much they love their jobs, their social life etc. etc. 1st round, rapid fire questions and you'll rotate to different associates every minute or two, I believe there are at least 6 people in this rapid fire. Mix of behavioral questions, preposterous case questions (how many windows are in this office? if you buy a coconut for $3 and sell for $2 how can you make a profit?, how many credit cars are in the world right now? What US state would you get rid of?) Walk me through your resume, y'know standard stuff. 2nd round, an email summarizing activity, which is timed. 3rd round, group case interview. Had a pretty dumb group to be honest, so I guess you can pray to the grouping gods to get a team that has done a case. Tips: bring in your phone to the interview process, use the whiteboard during the case, and keep time with your phone even though the front desk lady will keep insisting that you don't. Overall, pretty bizarre process, I hope that this recruitment tactic has helped them find associates they like the phone screening process was a breeze and it feels a bit too easy to get a crack at the assessment center day. Didn't feel like it was a legitimate process, senior members definitely love their jobs. One thing I did not like was that there was a timeline given at the end of the interview process, but never an email which indicated whether or not you got the role. Out of courtesy, I would expect some sort of answer. So for the lack of communication there, as well as an unreasonably shallow interview procedure, I'd have to say that this is definitely a company that needs to work on its recruitment.

Thank you for taking the time to review Capco’s Associate Talent Program interview process - we appreciate your feedback. We are disappointed to learn that you felt there was not enough communication with you. Our goal is to provide each candidate with a positive experience throughout the recruitment process. We take individual outreach very seriously, getting to know many of you with an initial phone interview to start - it sounds like yours went well, which we commend you on. Regardless of the final outcome of an Assessment Day, we always communicate final decisions to all candidates. We also invite candidates to receive feedback, if interested, as this is something Capco’s culture is centered around. Regarding travel reimbursement, we typically process each one successfully within 3-4 weeks of submission. We have seen reimbursements take longer than average to process when candidates provide incorrect information, but value your feedback and will look to see how we can streamline our process further. We recognize that the majority of our ATP candidates are in college, so we will challenge ourselves to turn around reimbursements even faster. We are happy that you ultimately received your check in the mail and that the situation has been remedied. If you (or anyone reading) have any questions about reimbursements or our travel policy, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Stacey.Lager@Capco.com, the Talent Acquisition Specialist for the US ATP program. Once again, we appreciate the time you took to share your feedback, and wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours!

The interview process consists of three distinct rounds. The first round was a managerial interview, where I was assessed on my ability to manage tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and demonstrate leadership and decision-making skills. This round focused on understanding my approach to handling challenges, cross-functional team collaboration, and managing client expectations. The second round was a technical interview that delved into my problem-solving abilities and technical expertise. I was asked to solve real-world problems, showcase my proficiency with specific tools and technologies relevant to the role, and demonstrate my coding abilities in a timed environment. This round tested both my theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills. The final round was a behavioral interview, designed to assess my soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, and adaptability. Here, I was evaluated on how well I align with the company’s values and culture, as well as my ability to handle workplace scenarios like conflict resolution and decision-making under pressure. I was also given the opportunity to ask questions and further demonstrate my interest in the role and the company.

I very recently had an assessment day with Capco which was an experience to say the least. It started with two interviews the first was okay the manager was nice and friendly but the second was not so pleasant. The interviewer did not want to be there and didn't even let me speak. Going onto the case study which was fine and no issues until it came to asking questions as the case study leader laughed at my question. This happened a second time by the same lady in the last Q&A session as she laughed in front of everyone about my question. I am not sure if she thinks she is better than everyone else or something else but if thats the people Capco employee stay far away! I unfortunately didn't get offered the position which is okay, there was a lot of high calibre candidates. The issue comes from being told of this rejection through a no reply email with "We received many qualified applicants and have decided to move ahead with another candidate who we feel is a better match for this particular position" which is the only feedback i got. I think it's appalling that I as a student spend days preparing and applying whilst still carrying out university work to receive a two sentence email of rejection without even an option to apply. I have never had to write such a comment before but I believe everyone should know not to spend time applying!
