Entretien
The initial meeting was with the Talent Acquisition team where they provide a lot of context on Canva as a company including where the Analytics Engineering role fits in, and also answering any questions you may have.
The first round interview is a 1hr technical SQL interview where you'll be taken through a scenario where you'll need to pair program with at least one of the Engineers to come up with a solution.
If you've successfully moved on to the final round, it comprises of 3 back to back technical interviews (45mins each) followed by a leadership interview with behavioural type questions.
Overall it was a very smooth recruitment process and the communication from Talent Acquisition team about the progress was excellent.

Question 1
For the first round SQL interview, a few things to focus on (other than syntax and functional code) include:
* Performance tuning and reasons for choosing your approach over alternative methods
* Simplicity and readability (i.e. try not to overcomplicate your code)
For the final round technical interviews, my experience was all scenario based questions which may include (but not limited to): SQL, Python (OOP), System Design (including fault tolerance, redundancy and scalability), Data Modelling, Performance Tuning.
Round 1: phone screen, (if your experience matches their needs + value)
Round 2: Advanced SQL (1 hour)
Round3: python with AI + system design + behavior + modelling (3.5h - 4h, can be divided into 2 different days)

Recruiter screening followed by 1st tech interview (SQL) and then 2nd round of 4 interviews (Data modeling, system design, Python, and behavioral). Overall very positive experience and good communication throughout.

Entretien
First phase is the Recruiter chat, the second phase is a SQL test, and the final step is a 4-hour interview (sql, python, design, and culture).
I had a working break, so it was hard to get my brain back to the quick problem solving, but everyone was extremelly patient and HR provided an extensive feedback after the final interview.
