      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Canada Drives (Vancouver, BC) en févr. 2022

      Entretien

I applied online. The process took about 2 weeks. I was interviewed at Canada Drives in February 2022. (Vancouver, BC) The first interview with the HR which was okay. He asked me about my work experience and checked whether I am good fit or not. At the end of interview HR send me a take home assignment and upload to the GitHub. Tips: - Basically they are asking for an API data loaded into the table and it should be fully responsive and the filter text box in which by typing any character or symbol if any data matches from the table then it should return filtered row from the table. Assignment was so easy it took almost 2 hours to finish. The second round of interview was technical part with 5 people which includes (Team Leader, Support Manager and HR). It was horrible experience ever. They asked me Fibonacci program which I know so I explained it and wrote the code in JavaScript. They asked me another algorithm something about tree which I honestly do not remember but I still tried my best to solve the problem and unfortunately I was not able to do it. Then Support manager asked me about customer success questions which was use less according to me as a front end developer. HR asked me same behaviour question what he asked me in round one. I was feeling so embarrassed and they judged me on the basis of stupid algorithm. If this is the case then they should ask Backend developer to write re-usable Component with using Centralized Store and on the basis of that they should hire backend developer. I think company should know what they are looking for instead of an algorithm solver. According to me, front end developer barely face any algorithm in real world. They should have asked me about Virtual DOM, React/Vue/Angular Lifecycle, Vuex/REDUX/RxJS, Components, Hooks, UI-Framework, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript Library. They do not asked me a single question about Front End. On top of that, They did not glanced my take home assignment for which I spend my time to complete it.
