I’d previously applied for and been offered the equivalent role overseas with BCD but we couldn’t agree to terms on the relocation. The Australian-based position opened up in late 2022 and I applied, quickly making it to the preliminary screening round and then a first round interview with the Hiring Manager which went well. All indications were that I would have further follow-up interviews after the Christmas / New Year holiday break, and despite several follow-ups from my side it was clear I had been ghosted.
