Next, I had a 30 minute chat with the recruiter. She was awesome. She knew a decent bit about the business and emailed a few hours later confirming a 1 hour phone call with the director. This was standard, going through my resume, discussing strengths and opportunities and outlining next steps. Lastly, I had a day of interviews with 2 peers and director of another business line ending with final chat with the hiring manager. All interviews were designed to ensure capacity to succeed in the role, manage a business line and grow the org. Chat with manager helped me to dig in on current business, goals and how this could be a mutually beneficial relationship. The recruiter reached out a couple days later to make an offer. Longer process but necessary.
