I had applied online and was scheduled for a phone interview with the owner. I was told of the position expectations and about the company. I was asked about my background and experience. I was not permitted to ask any questions as it was explained that I would be able to do that when I'd come in for an in person interview. I thought that was a little strange but they stated that as the owner, they would not be able to provide me as accurate of answers as their design team could. I was told I had passed the initial round of interviews and would be contacted the following week to set up an in-person interview. I was also told regardless of who was hired, all applicants would also be notified when the decision had been made. Well, a week passed, and after 2 weeks, I sent an email follow-up. I never received a response. Another week and a half later, I called and was told the owner was on vacation and the interview process would resume upon their return at the end of the week. A month later, expecting the same lack of response, I reached out again via email and still received no response. Almost 2 years later, I've still never received any indication of when my interview would be, or any indication that someone was hired. I feel lied to, and certainly don't have a favorable view of the organization after that kind of behavior.
