I was interviewed by phone while I was in grad school. I was then flown to the office for an in person interview. I met with several of the people who I would be working with and with my future supervisor. It was very laid back. They showed me projects they were working on and basically told me about the area (I had never lived in the location).

A few days after submitting my resume, HR called to set up an interview. The actual interview was standard interview, talking about what their role is and asking questions about your experience from your resume. There was only one interview before the job was offered and no second interview after the offer was accepted.
