Avantages
Coworkers are friendly Work-life balance is better than most places I've worked If you get on an interesting project, you can learn a lot about military systems Work is stable unless government decides to cancel your project, which happens
Inconvénients
Lots of processes (which seems to be true for all defense companies, not just Lockheed) which can be extremely frustrating and time-consuming (and sometimes a waste of time) Things can move very very slowly Some people are not technically competent Politics trump technical most of the time Tech support is bad, and in general, there is a lack of good infrastructure, software, system for technical work to get down
