Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Must have 2–4 years of experience in software testing within digital channels, banking, or financial services. (Non-negotiable)
  • Must have experience with Web Application Testing. (Non-negotiable)
  • Must have experience with Mobile Application Testing. (Non-negotiable)
  • Must have hands-on experience in creating test plans, test cases, and defect logs. (Non-negotiable)
  • Must have experience with agile project delivery frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban). (Non-negotiable)
  • Must have strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC). (Non-negotiable)
  • Proficiency in test management and defect tracking. (Non-negotiable)
  • Must have UI/UX knowledge. (Non-negotiable)
  • Exposure to both manual and automated testing environments is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks is a plus.
  • Knowledge of non-functional testing (performance, load, usability, security) is a plus desirable.
  • Experience testing a Chatbot and EKYC Application is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to clearly document and escalate issues. (Non-negotiable)
  • Collaborative mindset, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptable and flexible, able to manage shifting priorities and ad hoc assignments.
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple testing activities simultaneously.

Job Description

SUMMARY:

The test analyst is responsible for planning, designing, executing and managing test activities across assigned projects and applications. This role ensures that user stories and customer journeys are thoroughly validated, defects are identified and resolved and high- quality, error free designs are delivered into production. Test analyst will also participate in requirements inputs and analysis and provide end to end project support to ensure alignment between requirements and test output. The test analyst also collaborates closely with business units, business analysts, and developers to support successful project outcomes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements and Test Planning & Strategy

  • Participate in requirements gathering phase with Channel Manager, BU
  • Review and analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to design effective test plans and scenarios.
  • Work closely with project managers, business analysts, and developers to align on project goals, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
  • Identifies gaps, inconsistencies, dependencies and potential risks in requirements and testing phase.
  • Provide daily/weekly test execution reports, progress updates, and risk assessments to stakeholders.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) with business users, ensuring requirements are met.
  • Perform other testing-related or ad-hoc tasks as reasonably assigned, to support evolving projects and business objectives.

Test Design & Execution

  • Develop detailed and reusable test cases, test scripts, and test data based on functional and non-functional requirements and provide impact assessment.
  • Estimate testing effort and provide timelines
  • Execute manual and/or automated tests across multiple platforms, devices, and environments.

Defect Management

  • Identify, log, and prioritize defects with clear documentation and steps to reproduce.
  • Collaborate with developers and business analysts to ensure timely resolution of defects.
  • Re-test and validate fixes, ensuring issues are resolved without introducing regressions.

Quality Assurance & Risk Mitigation

  • Conduct regression, smoke, sanity, performance, and user acceptance testing to ensure stability and reliability of releases.
  • Assess risks and escalate potential quality issues that could impact project timelines or business outcomes.
  • Provide recommendations for improving testing processes and quality standards.
  • Maintain and enhance test documentation, ensuring traceability from requirements to test cases.

Project Support

  • Work closely with Channel Manager, Business Analyst, Developers, Project and or Delivery Manager to ensure project alignment
  • Participate in meetings and planning
  • Support post deployment validation and hypercare activities

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Pay: Up to Php40,000.00 per month
