Introducing our newest ERG: Pride In Unity Inspired by this year’s theme, I (Mike Stevenson) and my co-lead, Arturo Fernandez Rios, came together to start something new: a space for connection, visibility, and solidarity within our workplace. We’re proud to announce the launch of our LGBTQIA+ employee resource group, Pride In Unity. “Starting an LGBTQIA+ ERG is about creating a space where people feel seen, supported, and valued. It’s a way to build community, foster belonging, and help others know they’re not alone at work. I am inspired to co-lead this initiative to make sure that nobody feels like they cannot bring their authentic selves to work everyday.” Arturo Fernandez Rios, Co-lead, Pride In Unity ERG and People Operations Partner This ERG is part of a broader network of employee-led communities (i.e. BLK Leaders, Parents, Women and Allies, Open Minds, and the Planet Earth Alliance) that amplify voices across the company and create tangible spaces for belonging. To me, inclusivity is a daily series of commitments. Ones that are grounded in our guiding stars — especially ‘cultivate belonging’ and ‘adapt boldly’ — we’re building systems, shaping culture, and holding space so that everyone, across identities, has the freedom to be themselves. Because when everyone has the freedom to show up as they are, we all move forward together. That’s what makes inclusion real. That’s the fabric we’re weaving, thread by thread.
commercetools announced two powerful innovations that bring AI into real-world enterprise commerce operations — no replatforming, no new purchases required. With the launch of the Commerce MCP and AI Hub, enterprises can activate AI across their existing infrastructure, delivering on the long-promised vision of future-ready commerce. The Commerce MCP helps transform enterprise commerce environments into agent-ready ecosystems by making backend services securely and easily accessible to AI agents. The AI Hub seamlessly connects commercetools to leading AI models, enabling intelligent automation across systems, APIs, and workflows. Building on the emerging Model Context Protocol (MCP), the Commerce MCP enables enterprises to access capabilities of commercetools –– such as product catalogs, carts, pricing, promotions, and orders –– in an agentic AI accessible format. This makes agent execution dynamic, stateless, and composable, aligning with how modern composable commerce infrastructure is designed to operate. The Commerce MCP supports integration with leading agent development frameworks, including OpenAI’s Agent SDK, Vercel’s AI SDK, Langchain, and CrewAI. The AI Hub makes it easy for enterprises to activate AI-powered commerce across any channel. With plug-and-play integrations to leading AI platforms, it allows for fast deployment of agent-driven experiences without the need to re-architect.

commercetools, the most versatile platform for enterprise commerce innovation, today introduced commercetools Payment Hub, a new destination that gives enterprises full control over their payment strategy –– without the excessive fees charged by other commerce platforms that double as payment providers. commercetools has also expanded its partnership with Stripe, a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, as the first of several global payment service providers (PSPs) to integrate with Payment Hub. commercetools Payment Hub is designed to offer enterprises unmatched flexibility, cost savings, and freedom of choice — eliminating the premium fees imposed by bundled payment models. Unlike commerce platforms that force merchants into proprietary payment systems and take a percentage of gross merchandise value (GMV), commercetools Payment Hub allows businesses to negotiate directly with leading PSPs, reducing costs and improving profitability. With pre-built integrations and a simplified setup process, enterprises can integrate and go live within minutes, removing the complexity of payment orchestration — often one of the most challenging aspects of eCommerce.

commercetools today announced commercetools InStore — a new application that brings commercetools Composable Commerce’s capabilities into physical stores, unifying operations and breaking down channel silos. With this addition, commercetools now lets enterprise retailers deliver seamless, consistent shopping experiences across all channels: online, offline, and everything in between, all powered by a single, flexible platform. Legacy systems have long hindered retailers by creating inefficiencies, inconsistent customer experiences, and missed opportunities. According to Forrester, only 6% of companies deliver “very consistent” omnichannel purchasing experiences. Challenges such as fragmented inventory data, misaligned pricing and promotions, and limited in-store personalization prevent retailers from delivering seamless shopping experiences that drive revenue and loyalty. With the introduction of commercetools InStore, commercetools eliminates these barriers by unifying operations on a single, composable platform. For existing commercetools customers, InStore removes the need for redundant integrations, enabling real-time inventory updates, seamless cross-channel workflows, and personalized in-store experiences. It’s the first and only unified commerce platform that bridges customer experience gaps across all touchpoints while offering unmatched flexibility and scalability.
