Verily Onduo is virtual care management for type 2 diabetes (T2D), offering an intuitive mobile app, personalized care plans, dedicated coaching, in-app specialist care (when clinically indicated) and more — all supported by evidence-based outcomes. A 4-month study of Onduo for adults with T2D with intermittent CGM use showed significant glycemic and biomarker improvements, including a 2.4% lower A1C (avg.) in high-risk persons. Researchers from Verily, Duke University, and Stanford University demonstrate the potential for use of Verily’s Study Watch to help identify patients at risk for heart failure (HF). The study, published in the Journal of Cardiac Failure, investigates the association of digital walking measures with HF progression. “The study proves that there is more to walking than the number of steps. It shows that participants with subclinical heart failure had lower walking cadence and pace when compared to healthy or at risk individuals,” said Francois Haddad, MD, Clinical Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at Stanford Medicine.
