      At Vanquis, we’ve introduced Paid Carers Leave - five days of paid leave each year for colleagues who care for others. Whether it’s for planned appointments or unexpected emergencies, this policy goes beyond time off. It recognises the often unseen responsibilities of carers and provides meaningful support when it’s needed most. One of our colleagues, Emma Hamilton, shared her story of caring for her mum - check the video out below 👇 She spoke about the emotional and logistical balancing act of being a carer and how this policy acknowledges the real challenges carers face. Her words say it best: “It felt like a hug.” 🤗 Huge thanks to everyone who helped shape this policy.       Earlier this month, we officially signed the Armed Forces Covenant alongside Lady Mayoress of the City of London, Florence King - pledging our commitment to service members, veterans, reservists and their families. By signing the Covenant, we’ve joined over 13,000 UK organisations in committing to fair treatment, inclusive employment, and active support for the Armed Forces community. As part of our pledge, we’re promoting the Covenant across our careers and recruitment channels, supporting tailored career pathways for veterans and military families, providing internal resources and peer support, launching a dedicated hashtag#Vanquis Armed Forces Peer Circle, and actively engaging with national events and volunteering initiatives connected to the Armed Forces community. Our Group General Counsel & Company Secretary, Michael Mustard, put it best: “This pledge reflects our dedication to inclusivity and allows us to benefit from the unique skills and experiences that service personnel bring. Our goal is to help more veterans transition into meaningful careers after service.” We’re proud to play our part 💙

Here are some standout moments from the conversation – and you can read the full interview in the latest FLA magazine. ✨ Career highlights that matter most “It’s the customer stories that stay with you,” Ian reflects. “Like the single mum who became a social worker thanks to a Vanquis car loan that helped her get to her placement.” 📱 On innovation and our acquisition of Snoop The acquisition of financial app Snoop is part of Vanquis’ commitment to helping customers take control of their money with smart, accessible tools. 🔮 Looking ahead to 2035 Ian envisions a future where tech eliminates illegal lending and makes credit fairer. But to get there, Open Banking must scale, digital tools need to be truly user-friendly, and responsible lending must evolve with customer needs. 📢 On tackling financial exclusion Ian is passionate about moving beyond outdated credit scores. Real-world data – like rental payments and Open Banking insights – can help unlock financial access for more people. 🧠 And if he could meet anyone?
