Kudos to the Sunstates team that delivered a smooth transition ahead of schedule. When Sunstates took over security at a site in Batavia, Ohio, they faced an unexpected challenge: the previous security company pulled out a day early. Operations Manager Robert Allen promptly informed the team and took the necessary steps to have all personnel and equipment on-site within a few hours. Business Development Manager Shaun Root was also on-site to assist with getting everything up and running. It was an all-hands-on-deck situation with a successful outcome, and the client was very appreciative. Last month, Officers Jose Valadez and Lucio Raymondo of the Dallas region received multiple calls about an individual holding a gun in the parking lot on-site. Without any hesitation, the officers immediately responded by contacting the off-duty officer on campus and notified 911. Upon seeing our officers, the subject ran back to his vehicle and left the property. Fortunately, our officers were vigilant and took down a detailed description of the subject along with his vehicle license plate number and make and model to provide to the police. Due to our officer's response and the information provided, Law Enforcement was able to take the subject into custody without incident. Your excellent attention to detail and precise actions lead to a positive outcome. Greetings from California! Regional Director Andrew Morey visited sites with goodies for his hard-working team. First, Andrew met with Post Captain William Jones. Although he’s only been with Sunstates for a few months, he has been instrumental in assisting with starting a new site. Welcome to the team, William; we’re excited to see your future successes! Next, Andrew visited the third shift team at a site in Rialto, CA, and brought them donuts to show his appreciation. Joshay Rosales, on the left, has been with Sunstates since January 2022 and always comes to work with a smile on her face. Esperanza Gomez just celebrated her one-year work anniversary in March and is an excellent asset to the team.
Meet Dayton Watts, Regional Manager of the Seattle region. Joining the Sunstates team in Austin, TX, as a Site Supervisor in 2019, he took a brief leave from the company and, after rejoining in 2022, has held roles such as Site Manager. In March 2024, Dayton was promoted to his current position as Regional Manager for the Seattle region. He is a highly motivated security professional with over nine years of experience in the physical security field and a proven track record of success in his career in both security and the military. A decorated veteran of the Army National Guard Infantry, Dayton served for over six years. For his meritorious service, he earned the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge and the Army Commendation Medal. Dayton transitioned his skills to the private security sector. He has extensive experience managing security teams, ensuring compliance, and handling a wide range of security needs. He supervised over 300 employees and 40+ sites at a previous company, demonstrating his strong leadership and organizational abilities. His experience also includes working as a commissioned security officer and unarmed security officer, providing him with a well-rounded understanding of security operations.
