A team from our Hamburg office helped prune and tidy the gardens of Sternenbrücke, a local children’s hospice, getting the outdoor space ready for patients and their families ahead of the summer months.

We’re proud to support nine chapters of the Society of Women in Engineering (SWE). Their latest speaker series, Tech Titans, invites female engineers to showcase the design process behind some of our exciting medical innovations.
The very first graduates of our Future Unlimited programme celebrated their graduations this week. Organized and delivered by our Wroclaw office, in partnership with the University of Wroclaw, this development initiative helped 50 students kickstart their careers in Global Business Services.
A group of volunteers from our Columbia site recently lent a hand at the Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, which provides housing and mental health support. The team helped clean the facility, and provided a friendly face at the front desk to welcome the charity’s visitors.
Living our culture in our communities. 🏠At Lazarus House, an emergency assistance shelter for those facing poverty in Lawrence, US, a team from our Andover office donated their 8 hours of paid volunteering leave by helping to stock and distribute food parcels to over 1,800 families in need.

Did you know? Every employee at Smith+Nephew gets 8 hours of paid time off to volunteer in their local community. A team from our Costa Rica site got their fingers green this week at the Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Mixto Bosque Alegre in Rio Cuarto. They cleared trails of logs and leaves and filled holes in the paths, so visitors can access the park’s beautiful lagoons.
Sharing is caring 🗣️ Speakers of German, French, Norwegian and others enjoyed honing their language skills and sampling foreign cuisines in a recent Language Exchange, organised by our team in Wroclaw. Native or advanced speakers volunteered their language skills to help their colleagues to practice in a fun, relaxed setting.
