When change is constant, consistency stands out. SSOE’s latest Engineering News-Record rankings speak volumes, with top 10 placements in four key sectors: #2 in Manufacturing, #3 in Semiconductor, #3 in Automotive, and #8 in Chemical. The numbers don’t lie. We’re shaping the future of engineering.
Tipping the scale. SSOE has long been recognized for delivering complex projects at extraordinary scale on time and within budget. With Ford Motor Company’s BlueOval City in Stanton, Tennessee—Engineering News-Record’s Southeast Project of the Year and Best Project in Manufacturing—that scale has shifted. Spanning 4,000 acres and constructed with eight times the steel of the Eiffel Tower, this vertically integrated EV campus brings together vehicle assembly, battery production, recycling, and a supplier park. Functioning as a small, sustainable city, it’s powered by renewable energy and engineered for carbon neutrality and zero waste to landfill. BlueOval City sets a new benchmark for manufacturing and sustainability at scale.
Engineering the encore. Ranked a Top Airport Facility Engineering Firm by Building Design+Construction Media, SSOE leverages 50 years of aviation expertise and millions of sq ft of experience to deliver seamless, holistic execution for globally recognized brands—from the birthplace of aviation to the world’s busiest airport—through master planning, concourse engineering, and interior renovations. For Delta Air Lines, that included the encore. To honor its aviation legacy, Delta acquired Ship 6301, the “Queen of the Fleet” and first Boeing 747-400 ever built, transforming it into the centerpiece of the Delta Flight Museum. Within Delta’s headquarters campus, SSOE turned this retired icon into an immersive experience, extending the journey beyond the runway and providing the Queen an eternal throne.
Happy Halloween from SSOE! Whether you’re designing spooky spaces or engineering clever costumes, we hope your day is filled with creativity, fun, and a few treats along the way. #HappyHalloween
AI isn’t the future of AEC—it’s the foundation. At #GreatLakesAIWeek, SSOE Group brings the blueprint for scaling impact now. CEO Vince DiPofi, PE and Director of AI & Innovation Lauren Collier lead sessions on transforming AEC workflows and workforce strategy through intelligent integration. Hosted at Bowling Green State University, Thursday, November 6th, 2025 at 1:55 PM - 2:25 PM, this is where outcomes-first thinking meets enterprise execution.
A seat at the adult table—21 and up. SSOE has officially claimed the #21 spot on Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s 2025 MEP Giants list, climbing from #24 last year.
See to believe. At The University of Toledo College of Engineering, young women got a clear view of their future in STEM through the American Heart Association’s STEM Goes Red event. Just outside the SSOE Seminar Room, our engineers led a breakout session on water treatment, showing how technical design, project management, and financing flow together to solve real-world challenges. From clean water to clear career paths, students didn’t just learn about STEM—they saw their potential in it. #STEMGoesRed #SSOEcares
At SSOE, we honor the women who built our foundation by investing in those who will carry it forward. Through mentorship, leadership, and advocacy, we’re creating opportunities for women whose journeys are redefining what’s possible. At #WE25, members of SWAN, SSOE’s women’s Employee Resource Group, will bring this mission to life in our sponsored session, “Embrace Your Story,” on Friday, October 24 at 11:30 AM. This panel explores resilience, authenticity, and growth—from bold career pivots to breaking barriers—and showcase how owning your story can turn challenges into opportunity. #chooseSSOE #WomenInSTEM #SWE hashtag#EmbraceYourStory
Sometimes less is more. At Saluda Elementary, being cost-effective didn’t mean settling for less. Through The South Carolina Department of Education prototype program, SSOE worked with The Saluda County School District to create the same caliber of design, safety, and technology as any urban campus—creating the flexibility to grow and support over a thousand students, achieving educational equity through efficiency. SSOE’s Tim Williams will speak at Saluda Elementary during the A4LE South Carolina Chapter Fall Tour on October 22, sharing how scalable, thoughtful design, like what was implemented at Saluda, can deliver more for less. https://lnkd.in/esasH5mf
At SSOE, being a people-first firm means we celebrate our team members with respect for their identity, culture, milestones, and moments of joy, not just performance or productivity. This week, leadership, including CEO Vince DiPofi, joined our colleagues in India to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights—a powerful reminder that shared culture and connection illuminate the path to joy, prosperity, and new beginnings. #chooseSSOE #SSOEIndia
