Here at Novuna, we’re committed to empowering emerging talent through our graduate programme and apprenticeship opportunities. Last week, we held an early careers graduation ceremony for our second cohort of graduates and apprentices to reflect on their outstanding contributions and successful transition into the team 🎉 We had a wonderful time watching our graduates and apprentices come together with their mentors to celebrate this milestone and look forward to seeing them thrive in their future careers. Today, our third cohort of graduates has joined the business, taking on roles across our Group IT, Business Cash Flow, Group Risk & Compliance, Vehicle Solutions, and Consumer Finance divisions. We’ve just wrapped up a series of Data Roadshows across our sites to empower colleagues from all business areas to step outside of their comfort zone, and understand the value of data and how to harness it. Led by our Data Team, this initiative was designed to upskill colleagues and demonstrate how interpreting customer data can help them shape strategic decisions in their own roles, helping us to improve our customer experience at every touchpoint. Talking about the impact of these roadshows, Jake Rowett, Head of Data at Novuna, said: “Novuna is committed to building a strong data culture by empowering colleagues to make more happen with data. The Data Roadshows have been a huge success and are a key part of our wider data strategy, helping colleagues access data literacy and technical skills training.”
Recently, colleagues from across our different divisions came together to tackle a 24-mile expedition across The Yorkshire Peaks, conquering the summits of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough ⛰️ This initiative was organized by GenLink, one of our internal colleague communities, with a mission to ‘connect all generations’ across the wider group 🤝 Together, our colleagues smashed their fundraising goal, raising over £5,000 for Re-engage, a charity committed to combatting loneliness amongst older adults and valued partner of our GenLink Community 🙌
Here at Novuna, we encourage all our colleagues to take one paid volunteering day a year to support a cause close to their hearts. Earlier this week, one of our colleagues, Janet Garratt put her volunteering day to great use, at Shrewsbury Food Hub. The day involved collecting donations from stores, sorting food to ensure it was labelled correctly and finally delivering the donated food to local groups and schools. This experience provided a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference in the local community! Great work Janet 👏 #Volunteering
Four colleagues from our HR team participated in the Macmillan Mighty Hike earlier this month, completing a half-marathon hike along the Thames Path in four hours. We’re thrilled to announce that our colleagues raised an impressive £1,812 for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity dedicated to supporting people living with cancer and their loved ones. Congratulations to Kate, Meena, Jess and Emily on this incredible achievement and for helping to make a positive difference to the wider community 💜
